MobileTechRoundup hits the UK
Sure, the MobileTechRoundup podcast that Kevin and I do with good friend Matt Miller has always been available in the UK, that’s how podcasts work after all. But what is totally cool is that Webuser Magazine in the UK thinks that MobileTechRoundup is a podcast that their readers should give a listen. Reader Phil Ferris sent us this from the current print issue of Web User Magazine and it’s very cool indeed (click to enlarge):
Thanks for sending that in, Phil!

Right you are, guv’nor. I get the digital edition here in the UK via Zinio. Always a good read - the current issue has reviews of the Sony Reader, Datawind Pocketsurfer and a workshop on DropBox. I have to say that the webuser forums are excellent too.

I think the next MTR should be done in UK Regional accents, I’m thinking Cockney for JK, Liverpudlian for Kevin and a heavy Glaswegian accent for Matt.
Look forward to it guys!!!!

The UK Regional accents is not a bad shout at all! I reckon Kevin looks like he could carry off being a Scouser, likewise Matt as an angry Glaswegian Jock. Bit worried about JK’s Cockernee though - we might end up with him going all Dick Van Dyke on us! Just don’t get Guy Ritchie to produce the podcast - faux gnagsta wont work.

You can get a taste for the accent you’re asking for in this old video from jkOTR:

I think JK would do well as a Welshman

As long as I remain the show’s token Cornishman.
Glad the magazine I subscribe to echoes my opinion on MoTR.
