Gear Live- MacBook Air vs. VooDoo Envy 133

When HP unveiled the new ultra-thin VooDoo Envy 133 notebook in Berlin recently the mobile enthusiast crowd went "aahhhh".  The Envy is almost as thin and light as the MacBook Air and if you want to know how close it is in size to the Air then you simply must check out the Gear Live pictorial comparison.  No one knows how the folks at Gear Live got hold of the VooDoo Envy but they do have one and the photos are amazing.  I notice one thing though, both in these photos and in all of the photos/ videos I saw of the VooDoo in Berlin the Envy is not powered on.  I wonder if there is a contractual reason why no one can show photos of the Envy powered on?

If you look closely at the screen in the photo comparing both of them with the lid open, you'll see that the Voodoo is powered on. You can see a red led shining and you can see the Vista task bar and desktop icons. It is just quite dim.

Cheers,

LEo

Oh yeah, that is one big glare!
