Asus EEE PC 1000H reviewed- better than the 901
Laptop Magazine is at it again with an initial review of the new 10-inch Asus EEE PC 1000H. According to the reviewer that 10-inch screen provides more room for a larger keyboard making this the best typing EEE PC yet. There are a lot of photos and the obligatory video of the new Asus and I must say it looks like a solid device on just about every level. Take a look at the review and see what you think. BTW, what's up with all the annoying popup ads, Laptop?

I find it ironic that you complain about Laptop's ads when your own post has five of these nearly as annoying Vibrant popovers in it.
We all appreciate you have to turn a buck to make your site work, but anything that causes me to be 'mouse wary' makes ma back away from the site, and use RSS feed reading more - which negates ALL of your advertising.

i gatta admit, the 10" is pretty damn solid looking. i just wish they had gone with a higher rez screen. HP seems to have been the only 1 to have done that this round.
i'm guessing the manufactures just wanted to leave "room for improvement" & will all go 1280x768 by Gen 3. only give the general public their minimal essential demands & always leave yourself room for future upgrades (more likely of a future repurchase). thats what i learned working at.....
Gen 1 = ASUS EEE
Gen 2 = now
Gen 3 = 2009

The HP mininote is still the better device in my opinion - the HP's keyboard is superior, it's got a magnesium alloy case, pc card slot, and as JK has shown us runs XP so well.

Wait, let me see. Most buyers of netbooks prefer them over standard laptops because they are cheaper - not necessarily because they are smaller. At least that is the perception I get from reading many articles, blog posts, forum entries, etc.
What - aside from the Eee brand marketing spin - should make most consumers prefer an Eee PC 1000 over any low price standard 14" or 15" laptop that offers a faster processor, more RAM and more HD space for the same or even a lower price? Just being dumb?
What happens when the Eee PC 1400 comes along - for just $999?
