Dual USB charger: two ports are better than one

Sub1

This USB charger from Sigma APO pulls double duty, which means I like it twice as much as chargers I have now. The unit plugs in to an AC outlet (aka: "the holes" for the Seinfeld fans and Slippery Pete) and offers two USB ports to charge a pair of devices at one time. It's rated at 5V and 1000 mA, so each port gets 500 mA of juice. The Sigma APO site is in Japanese, so I'll have to lean on Google's translation services to try and get one of these across the ocean. If I can, there's no doubt this 43 gram device will become a permanent fixture on any future trips.

Nice, but why not just carry a powered USB hub?? I got an 8 port hub that should be able to charge 8 devices.

Some devices ARE picky though. I have had Motorola phones not want to be charged by some USB port chargers but they would charge off of one plugged in a computer.

Belkin makes a nice dual usb charger as well, I use it all the time to charge my N800, PSP and Ipod in hotels or airports where plugs are few and far between.

This is actually what I've been using to charge my devices when I'm away from home:

It has 2 USB ports AND an onboard battery, so you can charge things on the go!

Or for about $11 try the Belkin Mini Surge Protector with USB Charger: three AC outlets and two powered USB outlets; 360-degree rotating plug with 4 locking positions; complete surge protection through all outlets; compact, lightweight, efficient design; features mini-USB cable to charge virtually any USB device including BlackBerry and Motorola RAZR phones

Comes with Lifetime Product and $75,000 Connected Equipment Warranties

Aww 500ma isn't enough. Not for the power hungry Axims and such. Gorp, what's the amperage on the Belkin one (it didn't seem to say on the site.)Leo's surge protector looks more promising--but big. The American plugs that fold are nice too so they don't poke.
