Cool case for the Fujitsu P1620- what is it?
Reader Giora sent me a link to an Asian video of the Fujitsu P1620 that is very well done and shows off the P1620 nicely. In this video there is a very cool custom-fitted portfolio case that lets you use the P1620 in either laptop or slate mode without removing it from the case. Has anybody seen this case and do you know who makes it?

UPDATE: I found out this is the Fujitsu bump case that is sold by Fujitsu and by ALLTP.

The convertible bump case is less expensive if purchased directly from Fujitsu.

Weight: 1.1 lbs.
Certainly going to add to the heft. rather heavy little case for something that you won't remove while using. but i suppose you just had to check it out anyway!

Once you get the case, please verify that this picture represents the OEM Fujitsu case.
My gut tells me that this case in the picture is made by a different company (not OEM). Asian manufacturers often like to "brand" their items to look like they are OEM when in fact they are not.

The Tablet Mode bump case fits my needs better I think

James, I too would appreciate if you could verify whether the Asian case is the tablet mode bump or convertible bump (or deluxe) listed at:

FYI everyone. The video is 7 1/2 minutes long. The case part is from about 2:15 to 3:15. The rest of the video shows off features of the P1620, with an audio background of cool music (can't identify it though) and a video of red satin sheets :-) but never shows the model :-(

There's a company called Elegant Packaging and they make a lot of custom cases for the p1600 series.

This case resembles none on US Fujitsu site. The case at Alltp is not In stock. Any ideas on where and if available, looks great.

i called alltp about the case. It is NOT the case sold by fuji in US. They said it was made by a Korean company. Unfortunately for anyone interested ALLTP only had one case that was used as a demo and I bought it. Hope this helps clarify.

You are right. The case you are searching here is NOT a Fujitsu OEM product.
I bought the very same case off eBay last year and is still using it with my P1610.
The eBay seller goes by the name pqinet, but has recently not been active.
