CES and Tablet PC meetup in pictures

Kevin and I had a fantastic day today between cruising the CES show floor, attending Lunch@Pieros and seeing some cool gadgets, appearing on KPRC 950 Houston talk radio with Michael Garfield, the HighTech Texan, attending the Tablet PC meetup where over 100 people converged to talk digitizers, and capping off the evening with a visit to the BlogHaus in the Bellagio where Kevin, Matt and I recorded the funniest MobileTechRoundup podcast ever. Here is a photo journal of this busy, busy day.

The picture with all othree Mobile Tech hosts, was really nice. That must of been exciting having the team meet for the very first time.

Kevin, I see James, had his P1610, and Matt had a oqo(?), I didn't see you with a device. Did you end up bringing Sammy?

Mike, a few people have asked about Sammy, so I should explain. As I was packing for the trip last Saturday, I was testing my external batteries; I have two for Sammy. I must have switched the TIP on one of the cords and reversed the polarity because when I plugged one into Sammy, he shut down. And never powered up again. :( There was a smoky smell as well, so I'm sure I've fried something inside. Since I was leaving in less than 12 hours at that point, I went to my backup plan and quickly rebuilt my Toshiba M205 Tablet PC which is pulling CES duty this year. When I get home from CES, I'll be contacting Samsung customer service to get Sammy repaired.

Sammy thanks all of his friends for asking about him and although he can't make a statement right now, he wanted me to share this news on his behalf. He promises to back in the daily jkOTR lifestyle real soon.

So with all the pics of Vista running on a Q1, has Samsung released Vista drivers for the device yet?

Tax man, the buttons on the Q1 running Vista in the Samsung booth didn't work so I doubt it.
