Fortune tellers read Palms: 700p's delivery date

Nobody knows when the Palm 700p will be available, other than Palm, of course; but the great swamis are making their predictions. Engadget says next Monday, May 15th. Engadget Mobile disagrees and has evidence pointing to May 28th. CNET says we'll all find out together when the unit is unveiled on the 15th. One thing is clear: just like the picture of the 700p shown, the release date could still be a little fuzzy.

My money is on May 28th based on the evidence so far, but regardless of the date, I'm REALLY curious how many of you are interested in the device?

Long-time Palm users should be rejoicing as they get the best of the Palm OS they know and love married to the speedy EV-DO connectivity that Windows Mobile users have enjoyed for some time. Who's lining up on May 15th, er May 28th, uh.....oh heck: who's getting one whenever it comes out?

I first thought I'd pass on this one, and wait for a real update. My T650 has served me well, and continues to slog along.

I'm now thinking of taking the plunge. There are enough incremental changes that it would make sense for me. Plus, I'd love to get EVDO, and this is the right time to restructure my SprintPCS plan.

The Sprint SERO plan along with a 700p ... I am leaving my Treo 600 behind along with my 13 years of allegiance to Cingular (and its predecessors) the day its released ... whenever that is.

I would assume a lot of the purchasers will be previous Treo 600 owners like myself who didn't find the 650 was enough of a difference to change, but the added speed of the 700 should be.

I still don't know what significant hardware and software features differentiate this from the 650, other than the obvious EVDO. Does anyone?
