Freeware of the Moment- OneNote Daily Journal PowerToy

I stay in OneNote all day and anything that makes the powerful program even more useful is great. Any utility that does that and is free just makes my day. It also makes my Freeware of the Moment list so here it is. The OneNote Daily Journal PowerToy automates the task of creating daily journal posts and automatically creates the tabs for Year and Month. It is a natural fit for those trying to follow some sort of GTD or Covey daily routine. A journal entry for the day can be created by hitting the Windows+J key or clicking the Journal icon in the system tray. The utility can be invoked from the command line with a number of parameters making it a breeze to create ActiveWords shortcuts for those who use that progrram. Excellent and solid utility and I'm going to give it a whirl. I have always wanted to keep a daily personal journal but never have gotten around to it. Maybe this will make me actually do it and stick to it. The OneNote Daily Journal PowerToy web site has detailed instructions covering usage and technical information for those interested.

Thanks, James! Please let me know your experiences with it.

This is really cool. I use OneNote on my work notebook, and I can see how this could help me keep track my my miscellaneous daily notes.

The Journal plug-in is tempting I will admit, but I'm moving away from all digital journals due to some corrupted data erasing months of my journal entries a year or two back
